PROSPECTUS 2017

HOW TO APPLY

APPLICATIONS FOR ALL FULL-TIME UNDERGRADUATE COURSES ARE MADE ONLINE THROUGH THE UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES ADMISSIONS SERVICE (UCAS).

The Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education’s institution UCAS code is G80.

  • All UK schools and colleges (and a small number of establishments overseas) are registered with UCAS to manage their students’ applications.
  • UK applicants, who are not at school or college, apply online independently.
  • International applicants outside the UK (EU and worldwide) also apply online independently and advice is available from British Council offices and other centres overseas.

Any conditions on an offer must be met by 31 August in that application cycle to guarantee entry.

CLEARING

Those whose applications reach UCAS after 30 June are treated as late applicants in the Clearing scheme. Clearing is also open to anyone who is not successful in gaining a place through the earlier process or who has made no previous applications

UCAS EXTRA

This helps applicants not placed through the normal process to make an additional choice. Extra operates from mid February to 30 June, and eligible applicants who have used five choices will be provided with information by UCAS.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

On the subject pages we quote a ‘typical offer’ for students for each programme. Where prior subject knowledge is needed, this is specified within the subject entries. Students with no traditional entry qualifications will be considered on an individual basis.
